A blue couple

This double plated etching was inspired by the tradition of commemorative delft plates found in the Victoria & Albert Museum. I collect blue and white dinner plates and have couple of beautiful Meissen plates in the Blue Onion pattern. Slightly tongue-in-cheek I decided to create a commemorative print for my husband and me inspired by all the blue and white plate ware I love.

This etching was entered in to a national exhibition, "Inspired by..." curated by the V&A and chosen to be part of the display at Morley Gallery, London in 2016.
